Many times late at night I have seen this little forest fairy flitting along a beam in my studio. ...This mouse is a fully-mature adult in his two-tone brown and white. The youngsters are grey and white. He is where he belongs, in the woods. The entrance to one of his burrows is graced with a clump of fragrant wintergreen." - R. Bateman
