Is Anyone Out There? by astronaut artist Alan Bean

Is Anyone Out There? by astronaut artist Alan Bean available from Prickly Pear Galleries.

"For a day and a half, Pete Conrad and I had the Moon to ourselves. It brought to mind a question humans have asked through the centuries: Are we all alone in the cosmos? One day I turned and looked out to infinity. The sky was as black and shiny as the patent-leather shoes I wore to Sunday school as a boy. Inside my head, I asked: 'Is anyone out there? Is there an all-knowing, all-powerful being out there who is in charge of the universe?' I didn’t have any flash of enlightenment that day, but have come to believe the answer is in the heart of each person." - Alan Bean.

At 40” x 30”, the commemorative MasterWork™ Fine Art Giclee Canvas is the largest reproduction we have offered of Alan Bean’s artwork. It is set at an edition of 69 to commemorate the year he set foot on the Moon. A Fine Art Paper Giclée edition is set at 244 pieces, the duration, in hours, of the Apollo 12 mission from lift-off to landing. Both editions are personally signed by astronaut, moonwalker and the first artist on another world, Captain Alan Bean.
