Wild Rose Marsh by Nita Engle

"Sometime I would like to paint a book called "Marshes of the World," because marshes, both saltwater and fresh, wild bird preserves, water meadows, wetlands of all kinds, are a landscape painter's delight. They offer a wide choice of moods - misty, bright, gloomy, sunny or even snowy. There is also a sense of mystery about them...they are primeval and can't really be fully explored. They are exciting because they are alive with hundreds of species of fascinating forms of plant and animal life; the food chain from plankton through dragonflies, frogs, turtles and fish, to ducks and geese...even visiting deer and moose...all part of life in the marshes." - Nita Engle.  Print released 1985
