Traveling at night to avoid discovery, a mountain man hurries through freshly fallen snow on his way to a new camp or to a safe haven among friends white or red. His rein is tied in the horses mouth Indian-style, and his footwear is beaded. He has lived among friendlies and taken on some of their ways.
