Moon Shadows - canada geese at night by Stephen Lyman
Moon Shadows by Stephen Lyman
The silence of a moonlit night is broken by a distant honking in the dark sky. Growing louder, the birds approach overhead in their characteristic V-formation. The faint glow of dawn throws a soft light on the marsh and grasses below. A goose breaks formation and two more quickly follow, spiraling down to feed on the water. The rest of the geese fly onto another area but this trio dines in the floating dual light of moon and morning sky.
