“This is the third work of my Bison in the Snow series following the 14 foot painting commissioned for the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana. There is nothing like the dramatic action of a herd of bison running through the snow. Here I have depicted the source of their movement…wolves on the horizon. Since this is a herd of large bulls they will likely escape their suitors – except for two. These two bulls have made a fatal mistake by cutting too deep into the drift and will soon be belly deep in snow, restricting their ability to fend off the attack.” - John Banovich.
