Not Without Its Ups and Downs by cowgirl artist Donna Howell-Sickles

Not Without Its Ups and Downs by cowgirl artist Donna Howell-Sickles.

This piece continues the use of "The Ride" as an allegory for the living of life.  Those daily ups and downs that will come at some point in the future and define who you have become.  Viewing the bull as the masculine life force and the Cowgirl as the feminine, gives us a representation of the lifelong yin-yang dance between equal partners.  The wheat blowing in the wind will land where it may.  It will grow or it will not.  It will be found or it will not.  Its final destination is as ours, based on experiences and the winds of change.
