These images were created so that they could be viewed either separately or as a unit. It's one cohesive piece that tells three separate stories of action and suspense. Everything is based on working against the center piece. The herd is spooked not only by the riders but the lightning as well. The Sioux on the right is really caught up in it. The Indian in the middle is out of arrows but he's still in the midst of the herd.
