FASTFRAME Asks Kids to Draw: MY FAVORITE PLACE!
September 14, 2009 - November 14, 2009
FASTFRAME, a franchise corporation with more than 300 owner-operated locations worldwide, is hosting its first annual Art Contest for Kids. The three Fastframe locations in Austin will be encouraging capital area children, ages 6 through 10, to create a piece of art based on the theme: My Favorite Place. Beginning on September 14th and continuing until November 14th, they will be accepting artwork in the store for the contest. A first and second place will be chosen from among the entries brought in at each location, and both pieces will be framed for free, courtesy of Fastframe and donated framing materials from Nielsen Bainbridge. The second place winner will be displayed in the store while the first place winner from each location is sent off to the Fastframe corporate office in Newbury Park, California, to be judged in the national contest. The national winning artist will receive a $250 gift card for art supplies, with an additional $250 gift card going to his or her school. In addition, the national winning piece will be displayed on the home page of the corporate website for the month of January 2010. Pat Johnson, a member of the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley and judge for the national contest commented, “I am so excited to be part of the judging team for the Fastframe Kids Art Contest! I can’t wait to see what favorite places turn up in the entries. It will be a joy to see how kids see the world and how they represent it through their art. Maybe the next Renoir or Dali is in the entries. Get drawing kids!” Fastframe of Austin would like to invite capital area kids to join in the fun and show the rest of the country what true emerging talent from Austin Texas looks like! Please feel free to call us with any and all questions at 512-241-1442. For more information go to www.austinfastframe.com
